The MORRCK Story

We met in that searingly hot August of 2003, while we were both practically living in S.C.B.U. at Milton Keynes General Hospital. Between us, we had just produced three tiny babies (Isobel's twin girls, and Kate's son who weighed 1lb 15oz), born many weeks too early, who had to spend their first months in hospital.

We were brought (or thrown!) together by the struggles and crises of those first few weeks and so when our little ones were finally ready to leave hospital, we kept in touch and became good friends.

We were both professional women with busy and challenging careers, but we began to realise that our first priority, and true passion, was our babies. We shared the same parenting frustrations, and struggled to find the right products for our growing children.

We were disappointed with the utter impracticality of so many baby products, and kept finding ourselves with new ideas, saying… ‘What I need is this...’ ‘Why doesn’t anyone make that?…’ - sure we could do it better!

Isobel (and the twins) invented our first product, which eventually became the Baby Hoodie. Together we developed it, and our business slowly took shape. 

We thought of many names for our new venture, but one just stuck. ‘MORRCK’ is, quite simply, the initials of our babies and their first friends; the true driving force behind our vision.
